Meet Our Whitefish Bay Team
Coach Michael King has an accomplished professional soccer career spanning 22 years including many with the Milwaukee Wave. Based on his impressive play, his Wave jersey was retired, and he continues to hold the record as the team’s all-time leading scorer.
Coach King’s other career accomplishments include being captain of four championship teams, being named a three-time NCAA All-American as well as a place in the Farleigh Dickinson University and Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame. #1 all-time for number of professional indoor games played (over 900). 2020 Finalist for National Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame.
Michael King has been with MKSC, full-time, since 2008. He holds a USSF National “B” license. Michael’s extensive experience, notable accomplishments, and love for the game set him apart from other coaches. With the soccer culture of America growing and accelerating, it is more important than ever for young players looking to take their game to the next level to have a dynamic instructor to prepare and improve them. Coach King can do that. Michael is a welcome addition as a Whitefish Bay Staff Coach.
Aurinei “Chico” Parisotto- Staff Coach
Chico Parisotto is a native of Brazil. He has a wealth of experience playing at the professional level (starting at the age of 17) in Brazil and in the United States, which is a rare combination to find in a coach. Chico continues his professional career by playing on the PASL League Championship team, the Chicago Mustangs.
Chico played indoor for the Milwaukee Wave for three seasons (2007-2010). He played on the Indoor Brazilian Nacional team. He additionally played indoor for the Omaha Vipers and indoor for the Cedar Rapids Rampage, he went on to assistant coach both teams.
Chico has been a long-standing coach within Milwaukee Kickers Club and currently holds a USSF National “D” license. He is currently the Director of Coaching for the MKsc Nicolet Region and has coached for the Northshore Arsenal, the Nicolet Northstars Select programs, Slinger High School as the Varsity Assistant, and Youth Soccer at Lake Country United.
Chico’s ability to instruct and demonstrate soccer techniques, both from the outside game and across indoor and futsal makes him a wonderful addition to the Whitefish Bay team, as a Staff Coach.
Pete Knezic’s soccer pedigree includes being an honorable mention All-American for UW-Milwaukee and brief stints with several professional soccer teams before joining the Milwaukee Wave. Playing with the Wave, he became a popular fan favorite and legend resulting in his induction into the inaugural class of the Wave Hall of Fame, culminating in the retirement of his No. 5 Wave jersey.
In his coaching role, Pete spent several years as Coaching Director at FC Milwaukee and has since joined the Milwaukee Kickers team. Pete has over 25 years of coaching experience and has coached more than 100 youth players that have gone on to play Division 1 college soccer. Pete also coaches the Wisconsin Fire U14 Girls’ Team. He additionally holds a National USSF “B” license. Pete is a welcome addition as a Whitefish Bay Staff Coach.
Alvaro Garcia-Velez- Executive Director
With more than 20 years of nonprofit and business leadership experience, Alvaro Garcia-Velez was named Executive Director of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club in February 2008.
A lifelong soccer player he has coached for over 25 years, the last 13 with the MKSC Academy program. Garcia-Velez holds a National USSF “D” license and works with the girls’ high school program. We are proud to have him on our Whitefish Bay Kickers leadership team.
Chris McCormick- Registrar
Chris has been a member of the soccer community for well over a decade now. He has coached, refereed, played and worked as an administrator for multiple clubs and facilities throughout Wisconsin. Chris has coached at Pewaukee Sussex United, Middle United Soccer Club and Milwaukee Kickers Academy and currently holds a National USSF “E” license. He has worked for Brookfield Indoor Soccer Complex, KEVA Sports Center and Uihlein Soccer Park. Currently, Chris is the Membership Services Director and WYSA District Registrar for the Milwaukee Kickers. He is a welcome addition to assist as the Whitefish Bay Kickers registrar.
Kyle Trimble-Referee Assigner
Kyle has been the Milwaukee Kickers referee assignor for a decade. During his professional career, Kyle played goalkeeper for the Milwaukee Wave. Kyle also played professionally in Minnesota and was a college standout. Kyle additionally is a professional referee and works with the State and the Milwaukee Kickers as a Ref Assigner. Kyle has also coached for the Whitefish Bay Soccer Club and holds a National USSF “E” license. He is a welcome addition as the Whitefish Bay Referee Assigner.
Skylar Doherty- Marketing and Social Media Manager
Skylar Doherty started at the Milwaukee Kickers Club in 2021, she is currently the Marketing and Social Media Manager. Skylar played soccer at the collegiate level at Marian University in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. She enjoys that her current position allows her to share her love for the sport with others. We are excited to have Skylar as a welcome addition on our Whitefish Bay Team as the Marketing and Social Media Manager. Make sure to follow Whitefish Bay Kickers on Facebook!
Jaclyn Theune-Scheduling Coordinator
Jaclyn Theune has been part of the Milwaukee Kickers Club since 2019, she is currently the Rental and Scheduling Coordinator. She acts as a key component, answering inquiries, organizing field schedules, and ensuring that everything behind the scenes is running smoothly.
Soccer has always been a big part of Jaclyn’s life, she played soccer at Concordia University Wisconsin, and still enjoys playing in miscellaneous indoor and outdoor leagues. Additionally, she coaches the High School JV Team in Cedar Grove, along with a U12 Girls team. Jaclyn’s favorite women’s professional players are Julie Ertz from the US and Lieke Marten from the Netherlands.
We are happy to have Jaclyn as a welcome addition on our Whitefish Bay Team as the Rental and Scheduling Coordinator. She will ensure that day-to-day operations are in order, so that we can provide a great soccer experience to our many players, supporters, and visitors.
